This year's AgriProFocus Network Day showcased innovative and business climate smart solutions in the agriculture sector in Kenya. The SWA program participated in the discussions around climate smart agriculture solutions and business models for uptake of the solutions. Ms. Jackline Muturi, SWA technology advisor was on a panel discussion on sharing experiences of leveraging private sector partnerships to scale CSA innovations, alongside with representatives from Amiran, Agventure and Kenya Biogas Program. Our program partner Greenserve (Sunlight Pump) presented their innovation and how the SWA program has provided support to upscale the use of their pump to improve on-farm water productivity for smallholder farmers. Ms. Vandana Thottoli participated in the CSA Investors Forum, where she highlighted the SWA Investment and Innovation Fund that helps in identifying companies that provide smart water solutions and providing technical assistance to the companies, to help them pilot, test, demonstrate their solutions and to reach scale. Laikipia Irrigation Acceleration Platform host LWF was present for discussions on youth in agribusiness and how they involve youth and women in their various activities.
